This soursop juice is slightly tangy and minty, creamy, and utterly refreshing. If you have ever eaten soursop and you love it then this drink will surely hit the right spot. This juice is not purely made from soursop, it also has some bananas and a bit of mint added to balance out the final product. This drink is particularly great when chilled and is so easy and quick to make.

Ingredients
This juice is made with only 3 ingredients! Soursop is not always easy to find, however, if you do find it then this drink should be first on your list of to dos.
Instructions
The first and most important step in making soursop juice is to remove all the black seeds found within the fruit. These seeds are not safe for consumption and are said to contain toxic compounds.
It is important to make sure that they are removed as the fruit will be blended. The black seeds are enclosed in little pouches in the fruit and a simple squeeze will dislodge them.
I find that it is easier to do with fingers so once you have clean and washed hands you can proceed. Alternatively, you can use gloves. Then cut the bananas into smaller pieces.
Add mint, the bananas, and the soursop (seedless!) to the blender and process until finely blended.
Pass the mixture through a sieve and enjoy chilled.
Tip
When you sieve the mixture into the sieve, save the fruit pulp for a smoothie or to add to your fruit bowl. Alternatively, you can also decide not to sieve the mixture and get a beautiful soursop smoothie. You may choose to add more fruits and my tip would be to add fruits that are not overly tangy or acidic.
Soursop Juice
Ingredients
- 1 large soursop about 800 grams
- 2 medium bananas
- mint
Instructions
- Peel and remove seeds from the soursop making sure to remove every single seed.
- Cut bananas into smaller pieces and place them in a blender with the soursop flesh and a few mint leaves.
- Add a bit of water to help make blending easier.
- Sieve the mixture into a bottle and chill before serving.
Notes
- You can thin out the juice with some water as it will be very thick. However, do take care not to overdilute and lose all the natural sweetness of the juice. Ideally, add water in bits and taste as you go. Not all soursops will have the same level of sweetness.

Just made this. Thanks for the tip about adding water little at a time. I was able to add around 1.5 c water to the one I bought. Next one I buy it may be a different amount. Also using fingers does work as the meat surrounds the seeds. I ended up still missing a couple seeds in the end still. Taste really good.

Also forgot to mention. Blender causes alot of air bubbles (at least for me) so straining was tedious. I ended up putting mixture in fridge so air could escape. Then went back and strained which went much faster.

I am sorry to hear that you had some issues with air bubbles. I haven't had that problem before so I am a bit unsure why that happened but glad to hear that it all went well eventually.

Good evening,
Unfortunately I blended it with the seeds before I was told I am not suppose to.
Please what ,do I throw it away or just take it like that. What do I do?
Edinam says
Hey there, yes do not drink it and please get rid of it. The seeds are said to be toxic.
