If you stumbled on this page then you're looking to get to know me a bit. Also, you're probably thinking about food right now? Yes? Then this is where you need to be.
What types of recipes will you be seeing on Ginger & Sea Salt? Firstly, Ghanaian (the country of my heritage), Non-Ghanaian (food experiences from the places I've lived in and travelled to), and finally, beautiful fusions of the two formers.
Ranging from"Edi what did you put in these yam patties? They're incredible!" or " I'm not vegetarian but I could eat this tofu stir-fry every day... just wow". The heartwarming feedback from people who are clearly happy with my food is a beautifully humbling reminder that I'm doing something right and good at it.
Many, many years ago as a teenager and self-proclaimed picky eater, my siblings and I were very hands-on. Rear chickens and slaughter for sale? Check. Tended to a garden with plantains, bananas, spring onions, carrots, cabbages, lettuce, and zucchinis? Check. Attempted to grow strawberries and grapes but failed? Check. Made everything under the sun from scratch? Double-check. All of the checks. The variety in our meals back then, have shaped me but also greatly influenced the way I cook today.

Everything in Moderation is my motto when it comes to food so that you don't necessarily have to completely avoid things you may crave every now and then. However, in trying to practice what I preach, Haribo Gummy Bears really test me and more often than not I fail spectacularly - what do they put in those things?
When I am not thinking about food, which is 90% of the time, I can be found co-hosting the 2 Pesewas Podcast, and trying to get better at Python (the programming language, not morphing into a snake). Abinci's constant begging for snacks is also enough to keep me on my toes.
I'd like you to think about Ginger & Sea Salt as a fusion of my experiences on your plate and palate with the hope that these recipes and photos will spur you on to try something new or different today.
Let’s stay in touch. Send me a message, check out my pins, watch videos on YouTube, or just say hello on my Instagram page. I'd love to hear from you!

Happy Eating!
