A great break from all things fizzy is this healthy turmeric smoothie. It has a mix of pineapple, apple, kiwi, banana, orange, and of course turmeric and is a fantastic blend. It is creamy, sweet, and more importantly, does not contain any added sugars or dairy. The choice of fruits to use is endless, however personally, I love to see that golden turmeric colour come through and so that informs my choice of fruits. If that isn't important to you then, of course, go wild.

As stated in my mango, moringa, and ginger smoothie, I love to use only fruit and water for my smoothie, however you can still add yoghurt or milk if that is what you want to do.
Another smoothie to try is this banana and spinach smoothie. Some turmeric-inspired recipes you will enjoy are this lovely turmeric rice or these vibrant ginger turmeric shots.
Ingredients
The choice of fruit for this turmeric smoothie is completely a personal choice. In this recipe, a pineapple, bananas, an apple, a kiwi and an orange are used. As turmeric has that Midas touch, you want to choose fruits that will let the main ingredient shine through. This is no fast and hard rule and you can use any fruits available.

By now you know that turmeric can stain your fingers, so either use gloves or just wait for the stain to wash off eventually.
Instructions
The fruits are simply peeled (where necessary), chopped up, and then blended into a thick smoothie. It is as simple as that and if you find your smoothie a bit too thick for your liking you can add some water to thin it out.

Substitutions
- Fruits - you can substitute the fruits here with any seasonal fruits of your choice. Whether grapes, tangerines or mangoes, they all are perfect for this turmeric smoothie.
- Frozen fruit - you can easily replace fresh fruit with frozen fruit!
Variations
- Extra sweetness - if your fruits are not as sweet as you want them to be, then you can add a little bit of honey as a sweetener.
Tips
- When blending the fruits, add a bit of water to the blender to speed up the process. You can also add more water to thin out the smoothie.
- If you have fruits which are ripe but you have no immediate use for them, chop them up and freeze for later use.
