- 750 millilitres white wine dry
- 2 plums cored and quartered
- 1 kiwi sliced
- 1 orange sliced
- 1 lemon sliced
- 1 apples seeds removed and cut into quarters
- 1 shot rum white or brown
- 250 millilitres soda water or sparkling water
- simple syrup to taste
Put all the fruits into a large pitcher and add the wine.
Add the rum, the soda water, and the simple syrup to taste. See note 1.
Leave to chill for about 4 hours before serving. See note 2.
- You can add the soda water or sparkling water, when you are about to serve so that the Sangria doesn't lose that fizz.
- It is important not to leave the citrus fruits, that is the oranges and lemons in the Sangria for too long. They can leave an unpleasant bitter aftertaste. You can either leave them in for a few hours and take them out or you can remove the pith and leave them in without any problems.
- You can cut up the fruits to be smaller, the choice is entirely yours.
